Summary: William HANCOCK (1859-1936), born Trowbridge, Wiltshire, & his wife Fanny (nee SHELL, 1854-1931), born Bradford-on-Avon, arrived in Sydney on 24 December 1883 on the ship 'North'. William was a stonemason, but in 1887 left his trade and worked for AGL, where he stayed for 45 years. The Hancocks settled in Concord in 1888.
