This thesis covers four generations of the HIGGINs family in Gloucester, New South Wales, beginning with John HIGGINS and Janet LAURIE who emigrated from Peebleshire, Scotland to Australia in 1840. They arrived in Isabella Watson 20 September 1840, and after a time in the Goulburn district, relocated to Stroud around 1843.
