Summary: This essay acquaints the family historian with the vast source of information in the Good Samaritan Archives in Glebe, Sydney. Records there include the Admission and Death Registers of the Sisters, Admission Registers of the various orphanages and refuges which they controlled, as well as details of the many schools which they operated. Such institutes and schools include the Parramatta Orphanage, the Narellan/Mater Dei Orphanage, the Tempe/Arncliffe Home for Destitute Women, Buckingham Street Home, Balmain Industrial School, St. Scholastica's College, Glebe, St. John's College Prep School for Boys, Campbelltown, and Broadway Business College.
