Summary: The KEMP family were from Norfolk, England. James KEMP and his wife Charlotte BUTCHER were married in England, and migrated to Sydney in 1819. Samuel Marsden recruited them as missionaries for the London Missionary Society and they were sent to New Zealand. The Kemps have descendants in both Australia and New Zealand.
