Summary: His father, Stanley De Vere ALEXANDER was born 9 April 1843 in Cawnpore, India. He was a civil engineer and worked for the Public Works Department in India. He moved to Tasmania and married Marion BROCK at Campania Richmond on 5 March 1878.
Hubert was born 19 April 1887 his family residence was Kembla Street, Wollongong.
Hubert De Vere ALEXANDER (1502) was killed in action , Lihons (France) on 17 August, 1918 and buried in military cemetery, Bayonvillers. He was later interred in Heath Cemetery.
