Starts with the Port Adelaide New Year's Day Regatta of 1858, possibly the first in Australia. This is the history of the Port and covers a murder in 1913, death by misadventure in 1923 and a fire on the SS Singapore in 1924 which gave Tragedy Dock its name. Other names mentioned: Fletcher's Slip, the Semaphore Jetty, the Floating Steam Crane and Johnny Allsorts store.
