The story of three generations of the PICKERING family in colonial Australia. Chapter 1 examines the life of the first generation, George Pickering and Prudence nee FELTON. Their marriage in early 19th century England, the birth of their first two children and their voyage to Sydney in 1840, George's ministerial appointments to rural NSW and the life and times of his family as they grew. Their children were George, Jane, Esther, Samuel and Emily.
