Summary: Collection of papers such as letters and journals relating to the Clyde Company, a pastoral syndicate formed in the Port Phillip district on the eve of the great depression of the early 1840s. It follows 'volume I, prologue 1821-35', which covers the early fortunes of the Company's two original colonial partners in Hobart and Launceston.
